Training Delivery and Evaluation


Saturdays 10am-5pm 6 weeks

This module aims to equip the learner with the knowledge , skill and competency to deliver, assess, and evaluate a training and development intervention.

It will allow the learner to have an awareness of a range of issues to include equality diversity and disability in the context of current legislation in regard to training.

On completion the learner will be competent to deliver and evaluate a training intervention using various approaches tools and techniques.


The following is an approximate layout of the course – it may vary slightly depending on the group dynamics

Week 1 – Introduction programme outline –group contract-target groups/needs/barriers

Motivation of adult learner – Your role as a trainer?

Week2- Assessment introduction – learner journal- Training concepts –theory  of adult learning and practical application- learning styles and applications

Week 3 – Impact on the effectiveness of training – relevant legislation- diversity

Week4- Evaluation models – Group dynamics-

Week 5-Feedback on assessment

Week 6- Presentation skills and communication skills

Week7-Presentiion assessment -skills demonstrations

Examination fee of €20 is payable for non medical card holders for certification of the course.  If you have a valid medical card you will be exempt from the examination fee but a copy of this must be emailed on application nightclasses@westportcfe.
